Al 13 chemous is a word game, similar to Scrabble or Lexulous. However the available tiles are the chemical symbols of elements in the periodic table, with the score for each tile being its atomic number.


Th 90 ere are four possible action types which can be made: Fusion, Fission, Destroy, and Compound. On a player's turn, one or two of these actions can be performed.

F 9 usion is the process of taking two or more element tiles, and combining them to make a single new tile with atomic number equal to the sum of the source tiles. This move has no effect on a player's score.

Ne 10 w tiles can also be created by fission. A single element tile can be split into two parts, one of which is kept while the other is returned to the bag. This move has no effect on a player's score.

I 53 t is also possible to destroy a tile on a player's own rack, removing it from the game entirely. Doing this will cost the value of the tile in points.

Co 27 mpounding means placing one or more element tiles on the board to create valid words, of at least two tiles, reading left to right or top to bottom. All connected tiles must make valid words. The player scores the total value of all words created by this action.


Ta 73 king a turn involves making one or two of the fusion, fission, destroy, and compound moves, in that order. Each move type can only be made once per turn.

Ti 22 les placed on the coloured bonus squares gain additional points according to the square played on. (Each bonus tile only scores once, even if the same tile is reused on the same or later turns.

W 74 hen playing the first word of a game, it must go through the start square, indicated by a picture of an atom. The start square also provides bonus points.


P 15 layers start with nine tiles on their rack, drawn from a bag containing one of each of the 98 naturally occuring elements.

Th 90 e game ends when a player plays their last tile or all other players concede defeat!
